When my daughter, Emily, was 10, I took her to London. Leaving her sister, brother and dad at home, we hopped on and off a sightseeing bus and laughed our way through high tea at the Ritz, a visit to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, and a ride on the London Eye.
