“The richest and fullest lives attempt to achieve an inner balance between three realms: work, love and play.”
– ERIK ERICSON
My coaching and workshops are based on the principles of Positive Psychology, a research-based approach that looks at individual strengths with the aim of achieving optimal well-being and success. I completed a Certification in Positive Psychology Coaching with the Wholebeing Institute (WBI), as well as a Certification in Positive Psychology from Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, founder of the WBI and a leader in Positive Psychology education and leadership training. I have also completed courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Educator Essentials (Mindful Schools), Resilience Skills through the University of Pennsylvania, and Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice in Coaching (WBI). I am a member of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA).
Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes people flourish. It is the branch of psychology that studies what makes people happy and successful, and how they fill their lives with purpose, meaning and optimism. While positive psychology coaching embraces the entire spectrum of emotions, it seeks to develop and further our strengths—rather than look to failure and negativity—aiming to build upon those successful experiences and realize our potential to thrive.
