The Mindful Balance
For two weeks each summer, I have the privilege of teaching mindfulness, meditation, and life skills—such as gratitude, resilience, and positivity—to teenage girls from urban communities who attend Camp BroaderWay. While camp activities center on creativity and self-expression, the emphasis is on building self-esteem, striving for achievement and developing leadership qualities.
